It's now the beginning of a new year. I have never been good at making resolutions. This year however I think goal setting is going to be a good way for me to focus my energies on something other than work. I also have some really great motivation. Last month I ran the worse physical fitness test ever! and the next one I run will be in about six months. So, I have five months to shape up. Bryce is going to be buying a new road bike in the next week or so and once he does we'll be biking to and from work as well as little excursions now and then. So wish me luck and with Bryce here to keep me in line hopefully I'll be successful.

Back Home
So I'm back home. I had the most wonderful christmas break. Wonderful and well deserved. leading up to the break me and Bryce had a full month of birthday balls in November, to include a jam packed week in Tokyo for the Budokan Marching Festival, and three christmas concerts, the last one being the day before we left! We finally got on our way, only to be traveling for over 24 hours! but it was worth it. Bath was amazing!! It was wonderful to be with family again. It was so much fun to buy little presents for everyone and eat great food. Me and Bryce have now decided to make our own bread and i'm going to track down a recipe for cornish pasties. yum! After the wonderful christmas in Bath, we traveled down to Germany to visit Bryce's sister and her family living in Mannheim and spent new years with Brenda, her husband Tim and their children Walter, Belle and William. Germany was great! We were also able to spend a day with Bryce's cousin, Jodie, and her family. We visited Schossberg as well as Heidlberg Castle, did some shopping in Heidlberg and visited downtown Mannheim. Sadly though, it all had to end and we got on our plane and came back to okinawa.

First Entry - Aquarium
I have decided to create a blog. I figured it was a good idea considering I'm so far away from everyone and anytime I ever go and do something interesting I never remember to tell people about it. Plus I think it'll help me work on my typing skill which were horrible to begin with and have gone down hill even more. So, for my first entry I thought I would share with everyone my interesting day at the Okinawa Aquarium.
We went yesterday for labor day and we took with us some people from work: Justin, Zack and Kevin. It was a full car and sadly our AC decided to poop out on us for the entire hour and a half drive up there. Luckily though, it got a little cooler as we drove north, and the aquarium was air conditioned.
I was very impressed by the aquarium. They had three large tanks and exhibits about sharks and the deep sea. Here are some things that we saw.
we were very tempted to say that we had gone snorkeling
